Focal Operators: 25 Leaders To Know
Founders might usually get more attention, but don't sleep on the Operators. They are the backbone of NYC’s startup ecosystem. Here are the leaders we see paving the way.
Similar to our previous Focal Lists (roundups cover healthcare, fintech, proptech, infra, as a few examples), we're spotlighting a mix of ascendant and established leaders in the New York community, this time with a focus on Operators.
Why? Although Operators often work in the background to build and scale a company, their impact on the success of a business can’t be overstated. Primary has always been a champion of Operators, especially through our in-house Operator staff that outnumbers Investors 2:1 and our Mastermind Network, where we provide over 1,000 of them with best-in-class programming. After all, they are and will be the future leaders, Founders, and Investors of tomorrow.
To put a spotlight on New York City’s top operational talent, we’ve rounded up individuals across functions and industries in a list that shouldn’t be read as comprehensive so much as a series of shoutouts.
